PHENOM strives to be innovative in how we train our athletes.  These are just some of the ways we succeed.

By showing a player the stages of his swing he can start to understand how his technique can hurt or help in his results.  The slightest breakdown can hinder his performance. PHENOM trains the athlete from the ground up to perform the proper swing.  He not only learns what it looks like but how the swing should feel.  This will allow him to make corrections when his outcome isn't the way he wants it to be.

The links below allow PHENOM athletes to view themselves both offensively and defensivelyThis will be the starting point so they can see how they have improved as they keep training.  Most young athletes until they see themselves on video might think they are doing the techniques correctly.  Once they are able to see the incorrect movements then they can start to make the adjustments needed to do it correctly. Part of the training requires the athletes to critique themselves in order to understand how the technique works for them.

 PHENOM Comments:
Phillip comes from a baseball family.  His father was a professional pitcher.  Phillip
played basketball as a freshman and sophomore but gave it up to focus on his dream of
playing college baseball.  He brings a lot of ability to the field.  He has unbelievable arm
strength.  He is able to throw the baseball from one knee 80 yards on a football field. That
ability allows him to make throws from the outfield as well as across the diamond from SS
and 3rd that most kids in high school can't make.  He already has a college size build that
is only getting stronger.  Offensively, his raw strength allows him to drive the ball on college
size fields. He is a line drive hitter that uses all fields.  Because he can swing the bat his
stick will be in the lineup at one of the 3 positions he can play this season. Philip has the
ability to play at a major D1 school.  The fact he can play OF/SS/3rd, swings a left
handed stick and runs a 7 second 60, makes him a valuable college prospect.

Don't let his size fool you!  Michael, is another two sport athlete.  He plays ice hockey
when he's not hitting the baseball.  Pound for pound one of the best athletes you will come
across.  As a freshman played 2nd and outfield for the freshman team. Has an incredible
work ethic and baseball IQ.  He makes up for his size by always getting in the right position
on defense.  Is making huge strides in development of his arm strength.  Offensively, he
hits the ball like he is 6'3".  He is able to hit late in the count and squares the ball up to hit
line drives a majority of the time.  I would compare him to a David Eckstein.  Should be a
contributor this year on the JV because of his good fundamentals and work ethic. Coaches, don't count this player out, he can play in college at some level.  Once he hits a growth spurt watch out.

Austin is a very mature athlete for his age.  He is a versatile player that can not only play all
three outfield positions but can also play 2nd base and pitch.  He has worked hard in a few
short months to develop above average arm strength.  Offensively, he takes advantage of
his big frame and strong lower half to drive the baseball.  He has the ability to drive the ball
in the gaps as well as having good opposite field power. Should be a major factor for his high school team this season.

Lance is a two sport athlete, that plays football as well.  He has above average speed and
quickness.  He takes advantage of that in the outfield on balls in the gaps and over his
head.  As a freshman he has an average arm that is being developed weekly. He can also
play 2nd and is working on pitching.  Offensively, he is a guy that can take advantage of his
speed when he hits the ball on the ground. He is a player that should play JV this
year as a freshman possibly varsity.

UPDATE: Lance made his JV teamas a freshman.

Zach is a natural athlete that has made great strides in his training in just a few short
months.  He has a very smooth swing and squares the ball up on almost every swing.  He
hits the ball to all fields and understands the strike zone.  On defense he has an above
average arm and very good feet.  He moves well to both his glove side and back hand.  I
wouldn't be surprised if he was on the JV team by the end of his freshman season.
